Winchell Apartments is an apartment building that was only seen in the episode "Mermaid Man Begins."

Description

The apartment building is colored red with a bunch of windows on sides of the building in various colors. There front brown doors and a small gray chimney on the top. On the side of the building, there a black pole with a yellow sign that says "Winchell Apartments."

History

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy originally lived in Winchell Apartments before they became superheroes. Back then, their names were Tim and Ernie. A long time ago, Tim and Ernie were about to watch a movie while the popcorn was in the microwave. However, in the apartment directly above, a rogue scientist doing tests on radioactive ants knocks over a jar of his infected specimens, one of which, without any hesitation, crawls down one floor and miraculously lands undetected on Ernie's head. The infected specimen viciously bites Ernie which cause him to scream in pain whiles stumbling backwards which knocks him and Tim through a wall out of the apartment building.

After some shenanigans, Ernie and Tim come flinging back miraculously unharmed to the apartment building and the popcorn in the microwave is done. The two then proceed with movie night and eat slightly overcooked popcorn. Suddenly, an amazing reaction to the overcooked popcorn hits them with a jolt of cosmic super energy, metamorphosing Ernie into an incredibly strong, seastar-wearing superhero and Tim into a slightly less strong, but also super sailor-looking guy. They sudden and incredibly urge to breathe water instead of air. Because of this, Ernie and Tim left the Winchell Apartments building to live under the ocean and officially became known as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.
