Request For Administrator

As it is unlikely I will be seeing any votes. I am going to you directly. I have filed a request with all my credentials at the Request for Admin page here. Rgoodermote  22:37, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for showing up when you did! Well I soo got proved wrong at Adopt. XDD Anyways, look forward to editing beside you. Rgoodermote  05:20, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
I look forward to being able to continue helping out the wiki in any way possible. Happy editing. - Rgoodermote  21:58, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

can i be one please--Squidard 1000 20:23, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Featured Article?

Ok I have been sifting through articles all day and I think I found an article worthy of being featured today. What do you think of Ripped Pants being featured? - Rgoodermote  21:00, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

I think it's a good enough article for featured status. I can start a place to list possible featured articles that we could use to feature an article each week. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 21:04, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Cool, I'll have it up at 5:30PMESTUSA. Fine by me.- Rgoodermote  21:11, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

I think Greennave should just be given mop. He's been very useful and very friendly. Also we need more admin, I'm going to be busy this week and next and you..not sure about you. - Rgoodermote  21:49, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Skin Custom

Shoulda talk to you about the skin change before hand. But I changed it to MonoBook because it is first off neater and second it is highly customizable. You can do a lot more with your .css and .js if you have it set to MonoBook. Also there are scripts that run in Greasemonkey that rely on the MonoBook skin. Like WikiED. Which if you do not know is a full fledged text editor within the Wiki. Which makes it easier on others to edit. I myself use it from time to time. However, right now I do not have it turned on because first off I use it mainly at Wikipedia and attempts to use it here on Wikia have proven to be very fruitless as the various skins break it. I'm not kidding, take a look here. - Rgoodermote  20:30, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

And I stand corrected, it would seem that during my Wikivacation they added Monaco support. However, we're still set to custom. So I assume that is going to cause issues as well and break the script. I shall see. - Rgoodermote  20:32, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
I politely bow out. Carry on. Sorry for disturbing you. - Rgoodermote  20:36, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Hello, are you an admin?(I dont have an account.)

Yes. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 20:23, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

What do you think?

What do you think, should I unprotect the list of Season 6 episodes? I protected it because it was getting hit by vandalism. But the recent down in that makes me wonder, you think it safe? - Rgoodermote  20:33, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Well, the episode lists are probably the most popular articles for viewing - and vandalism. Vandalism usually slows down once the seasons are complete (earlier seasons do not have much vandalism, as the episodes are complete.) Personally, I think the season pages should be for logged-in users only, and in the case of vandalism by logged-in users, it should be sysops only temporarily. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 20:37, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Agreed, to be honest with you, I'd not mind making every page for users only. But it's a wiki and we need the contributors. Also, I think we have a case of socking with the Ahh Real Monsters/Rugrats/whatever else vandal. If we had a checkuser (which I know Wikia does not allow right now) we'd be able to get rid of him without so much collateral. - Rgoodermote  20:42, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey, mate can you get confirmation emails from Wikia? Cause I can't. I switched my email over to a new one and I'm not getting the message at all. - Rgoodermote  20:22, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

I did the same thing a few weeks ago, but I didn't get anything. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 20:24, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Any clue how to fix it? - Rgoodermote  20:25, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Not sure. When I change my email it apparently changed it back to the original. I did this both on Wikipedia and Wikia. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 20:29, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
I am asking at the Wikia live help thing for assistance. I've had no trouble changing my email at Wikipedia. Just here and I'm seeing that it did change it. - Rgoodermote  20:31, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

(undent)If you are using Gmail, look up Wikia in the search bar. - Rgoodermote  20:47, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

I've placed a notice saying we only allow one more admin. I think four is fine enough for our size. If you don't like that feel free to remove that notice. If you don't mind it then I'll also add it to the sitenotice unless you want to. - Rgoodermote  20:56, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

You are being mean to me.2 hours ago I made my account, but I've been here since Thanksgiving with no account.OK,so vote or I will tell.Don't ask who... Totaldramaman

1. I am not being mean to you. I was making my support/oppose decision based on your contributions... just as I have done for all the other proposals.
2. Even if you did edit with an IP address and had just made your account, it is very hard to evaluate your previous contributions.
3. I already "voted," meaning I already made my decision, and it is my decision.
4. I must ask, but who would you tell?
5. If you want to have sysop powers, I suggest you contribute more.
Thank you. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 21:01, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
I blocked that user for this very message and also for vote tampering. - Rgoodermote  21:06, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Request for B'Crat

Hey, curious, do we have a Request for B'crat at all? I was thinking I'd run and help out by lightening the load when it comes to RfAs and what not if I were to succeed. O also, been toying with the mediawiki messages and what not. I noticed something, there is an ACC ability in there. How come it is not one of the selections? - Rgoodermote  21:06, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

A RFB page has not been set up yet. I think there is no need for any additional bureaucrats at this time, since there is hardly a difference. I'm not sure about the ACC ability. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 21:22, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Fine by me. Yeah, I noted it while hunting through the messages I saw these

"accmailtext Talk The password for "$1" has been sent to $2. accmailtitle Talk Password sent. accountcreated Talk Account created accountcreatedtext Talk The user account for $1 has been created. acct_creation_throttle_hit Talk Sorry, you have already created $1 accounts. You cannot make any more. "

These are the same things that they have at Wikipedia's System messages..albeit in a lot simpler form as it goes on a lot longer than there than here as they have the actual tool. - Rgoodermote  21:25, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Wall of fame

Ok. Nice to see that you like my idea. Has it already been created? ~Teltu

Can you please sign with four tilde (~~~~) from now on, please? And no currently we have not created the barnstars, I was going to but I got lazy some where along the line. - Rgoodermote  21:51, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

On forum, I wanted to request to become sysop or rollbacker and someone told me to request it to you. I have reasons why I could become a sysop or rollbacker. 1.I am very experienced (after all I do go on 5 other wikias) 2.I watch spongebob (but not that much now that im older)What do you think?--Squirrel or SorrelSay HOLAWhat did I do 23:52, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

I said rollbacker. - Rgoodermote  01:39, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Rollbacker. Done. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 02:56, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Check your deletion logs. - Rgoodermote  21:47, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

I see what you did, but I'm not quite sure why it was necessary. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 22:27, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
It's a long story. Go to your email shortly. - Rgoodermote  22:27, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 22:28, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm kicking it for the rest of the day. But feel free to call me paranoid. But this is a long term solution. Also I have given Darren permission to place "This image is similar to [his hyperlink to his image here]" or some variant of. So please don't revert that. - Rgoodermote  22:35, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

What can i do to earn myself the right to become a bureaucrat?--Greennavetalk 06:13, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I asked the same thing. The answer is we don't need any more and I tend to agree. - Rgoodermote  14:31, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I have granted Spongepedia permission to upload any needed images or use any of our already uploaded images as long as we can still use them on our Wiki. This helps us and them because they do not have space and we need those images. - Rgoodermote  17:48, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 19:42, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
They are currently talking about it. We've sorted out that issue with Titanic. - Rgoodermote  19:46, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey why do we currently have this site at Monaco? I realllly think we should go to Monobook. To be honest Monaco doesn't..look all that nice. - Rgoodermote  19:51, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Mate, you'll probably not like this. But I'm going to go with the Monobook theme. It is much neater, not as heavy on the processes and is dial up safe (there is actually a lot of dial up users still around). - Rgoodermote  20:54, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Okay. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 20:36, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I learned something...there is no Monobook option and I can't add that's just..dumb...- Rgoodermote  03:23, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Main Page Design

Whatcha think? I'm thinking I will reorganize everything later and I have to round out that info thing on the top of the page. - Rgoodermote  20:32, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I think it looked better the way it was before. It looks isolated. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 20:36, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Isolated? Well my issue with the last one was was dull...also this design seems to be very streamlined and I was thinking we could use some new additions to the Main image..a DYK (Did You Know) and move the mission statement into that box above...but anyways all of that would like really nice in a rather streamlined Main Page. But just...boring and well Wikipedia like with squares...which is quite ironic given our Wikia. - Rgoodermote  20:55, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Look better? There should be more addition to the DYK and a few more things should be added to the Main Page. But that is about all I can really do for today. - Rgoodermote  20:55, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Now it looks less isolated. I think there should be two colors. Blue and yellow seem like the colors that make the most sense. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 21:06, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Also, I was thinking about having a quote section. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 21:07, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

(undent)I was thinking about different colors as well. I was thinking Yellow and Pink...for obvious reasons. I was also thinking of a quotes as well and maybe a transcript of the month/week/day thing. - Rgoodermote  21:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I understand the initiative for the colors yellow and pink but I doubt they will be visually appealing. We can experiment with it though. As for page content, go to SpongeBob SquarePants talk:Featured content where I will create a discussion of what to be on the main page. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 21:15, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
I think when it comes to the color scheme we should both make up mock main page templates and see how the colors would look. I think yours would work better. Mine is only for the fact that we are a Spongebob Wikia. - Rgoodermote  21:23, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

(undent)Yellow and blue. - Rgoodermote  01:15, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

I think I love you. That is PERFECT..except I still would like it round...- Rgoodermote  02:31, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Round? As in not rectangular? -AMK152(talkcontribs) 02:35, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Basically how my current setup is. However, right now square is sounding better than both rectangle and rounded...however impractical. - Rgoodermote  02:40, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Wait, do you mean rounded edges on the boxes, or something else? -AMK152(talkcontribs) 02:56, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Rounded edges...what else is there? - Rgoodermote  03:00, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
That's what I thought, but they look rectangular. The edges don't really make a difference anyway. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 03:04, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually the rounded edges tend to look a lot nicer in my humble opinion. However you designed that masterpiece so it's your show. However you need to make sure the damn advertisements work right. - Rgoodermote  03:29, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

New Logo Image?

How does this look to you?

It took me some time to make. I think it is a much cheerier and brighter image and also it adds a lot more color. I refuse to use any words by the way. On the image I mean. - Rgoodermote  22:45, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Welcome tool and sitenotice

Hi! I saw that the way you'd changed MediaWiki:Welcome-user was keeping the welcome tool from working properly. I just fixed it, so now people will be getting your welcome messages.

I also see that your sitenotice has grown quite a bit. Maybe you've dismissed it for yourself and you don't realize how much space it's taking? Here's a screenshot taken on my computer -- on the main page, the content is pushed down so far that I don't even see it when I come to the site. All I see is the sitenotice and the ads!

Is it possible to trim down that sitenotice? I think a lot of the stuff that's there would work much better if it was just posted on the main page -- that way, people wouldn't have to see it on every single page on the wiki. What do you think? -- Danny@fandom (talk) 23:06, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

We don't want it to welcome users. We know it is large. We'll work on it. This is my request, see those adverts? Kill them. They break the Main Page and are horribly placed. - Rgoodermote  00:06, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

You know, I'm genuinely getting fed up with Wikia. I've been thinking we move over to our own server and make our own Wiki. However, I got no clue who will fork the bill. But seriously, it's gotten really annoying, I went on a rant to Toughpig about my grievances if you want to have a story behind everything. - Rgoodermote  17:41, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm trying to find a time where someone can acutally help in chat. The ad set up at Familypedia looks more appealing than the one here. I'm tryign to get someone who will actually understand what I'm tryign to say; but no luck yet. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 14:07, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Season 6

If u can edit SpongeBob SquarePants (season 6), would you make SpongeBob vs.The Big One episode #111 and move The Great Escape to Season 7 as 123, plz?User:Totaldramaman

I will not until the production numbers are actually revealed. When they are, I will update them. We can't just guess the numbers. And there is not source for the episodes Sea of Clams, Truth of Gold, Matchmaker, and Squillam's Fancy Plan. -AMK152(talkcontribs) 01:50, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

If you can edit season 7 put the episodes:

Do you have a source? -AMK152(talkcontribs) 00:57, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

I would like to see the sources for the three episodes you restored. I couldn't find any myself. But I would like to see what you got. - Rgoodermote  23:12, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
