The last two days have given us some key insight into future and concluding episodes of Season 9.
Today, Kaz Prapuolenis posted on Facebook an image of a "Kaz Underworld-inspired background for an upcoming SpongeBob episode, further stating that it's "the bad part of town."
This artwork looks fantastically detailed and looks like a great backdrop for one of the episodes. This may possibly be in Bikini Bottom? Either way, it's super exciting!
Also, yesterday, Nickelodeon tweeted a GIF image which has been presumed to be new footage from an upcoming episode.
To see the full animated GIF, please click the link above. This scene further looks apocalyptic and generally dismal, possibly suggesting the footage and artwork may be from the same episode. It's interesting this general dystopian world has been used again, as it was in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - just food for thought.
The animation looks similar to that of previous Season 9 episodes and the hat looks very snazzy!
