Thomas James "Tom" Kenny (born July 13, 1962) is an American actor, singer, voice artist, and comedian, best known as the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants in the franchise of the same name, as well as Gary, Harold SquarePants, the French Narrator, and some other characters. He was born in Syracuse, New York in 1962. He also voices Ice King in Adventure Time. In addition to voice acting, he has also portrayed some live-action characters, such as Patchy the Pirate, and live-action cameo appearances as himself. In SpongeBob, he has said at least one line in each episode, except for the episode "Reef Blower," which has no dialogue.
For the resumption of Season 9 in 2015, he will have a new role as voice director, as well as his normal voice acting duties.[1]
