Plot

It starts out when SpongeBob is cooking Krabby Patties. After they are done, he notices one looks like a face with lettuce hair, tomato eyes, a pickle nose, ketchup and mustard cheeks and a smile. He then leaves work and gives a guy one of his shoes instead of a real patty. He soon becomes obsessed with the patty and they spend the day together, going to the fair, and while feeding clams Spongeob beat up the clams since they were going to eat Patty, and they went on a boat ride. While on the boat ride, Patty falls apart and becomes wet which causes it to stink badly. Then SpongeBob takes Patty on a date to the Krusty Krab where Mr. Krabs thinks the reason Spongebob left work was so he could get ready for his date. Mr. Krabs thinks he dating a girl until he sees a stinky Krabby Patty. Mr. Krabs sees Patty as a rotten peice of meat. After Squidward asks Spongebob what he wants he shows Spongbob that Patty has worms and dirt. SpongeBob still thinks Patty is beautiful until he smells Patty and then Patty grew mold with the worms. Spongebob gets confused. Mr. Krabs explains that he had a beautiful patty once too and he ate it. Spongebob then eats Patty and then prepares to throw up.

Trivia/Goofs

  • Patty is on the bench with SpongeBob, and then she is on the sand ground being attacked by scallops.
  • In Patty's small vision, she has no worms visible on her. Next, there are green rock algae-like objects.
  • SpongeBob has violence attacking in this episode to scallops, and kills one by ripping off his mouth, But In "Creature From The Krusty Krab", SpongeBob Says "Lucky For You, I'm Not A Violent Person!" In "Alaskan Belly Trouble".
  • In this episode, SpongeBob killed all the scallops but in episode Rock-a-Bye Bivalve, he took care of the baby scallop and named it Junior.
  • This is the first time SpongeBob nearly retches.
  • The tough person who wanted to eat Patty but instead got a shoe burger is the same tough fish that the Flying Dutchman sees in Shanghaied where SpongeBob points to scare but instead a little boy. He's also the same person from Krabby Land who helps SpongeBob stall the kids.
  • SpongeBob acts like he is married to the patty.
  • Surprisingly, the Valentine's Day Carnival from episode Valentine's Day returns in To Love a Patty. It was seen during "Oh Baby".
  • This is the 2nd Valentine's Day-based episode.
  • This is the first episode where SpongeBob actually killed someone.
  • SpongeBob could've just thrown Patty away instead of eating it/her.
  • In German they call this episode "Burgina".
  • Unlike the other Valentine's day episode, this one airs several different times of year.
  • At the very beginning, where SpongeBob makes 6 patties at once, he has six arms. When he catches all the patties on plates, one in each arm, his tie is missing.
  • When SpongeBob and Patty go on a date at the end, the throne Patty is sitting on disappears.
