He was hospitalized at the nearby Franklin County Medical Center in Greenfield for 3 weeks, before being discharged with strong admonitions not to perform again because of his health and the dietary needs for his diabetic and heart conditions. Nevertheless, Tim had decided to ignore the advice.

On November 30, while playing at a Gala Benefit at the Woman's Club of Minneapolis, Tim suffered another heart attack onstage and was later pronounced dead at the Hennepin County Medical Center. Herbert Khaury (April 12, 1932 – November 30, 1996), better known as Tiny Tim, was an American singer, ukulele player, and musical archivist. He was featured as a guest performer in "Help Wanted," singing "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight." Tim is also mentioned in the Season 1 episode "MuscleBob BuffPants."
