2012 (MMXII) is the current year. It is a leap year like the previous years 2004 and 2008. 2000 was also a Leap year. It is the second year to contain a two-week episode premiere event after New-New-New-New-New Week in 2007 . Like 2008 , the first episode of this year didn't premiere until March. It is possible for this to happen in 2016 as well. It was believed that the first new episode this year wouldn't premiere until May 4 . In fact, no episodes aired in May, again. This is the 7th year in a row to have episodes premiere on the day of KCA or at least near the day of KCA. Some people believe that the world will end this year, but there is no evidence that such a disaster will occur, so therefore there will be no apocalypse.
