Year 2006 (MMVI) was a common year of the Gregorian calendar that started on a Sunday. 23 New SpongeBobs aired in this year. It had a middle ages-themed special called Lost in Time on Feburary 20, 2006. It was released on DVD February 21. NEw SpongeBobs also aired on KCA 2006 on April 1. This is the first time there was new episodes on Nicksgiving Weekend.

April 1: Krusty Towers and Mrs. Puff, You're Fired premiered, when the Kids' Choice Awards 2006 premiered.
May 5: Chimps Ahoy and Ghost Host premiered.
May 12: Whale of a Birthday and Karate Island premiered.
June 2: All That Glitters and Wishing You Well premiered.
September 22: New Leaf premiered.
September 29: Once Bitten premiered.
October 6: Squidtastic Voyage premiered.
October 13: Bummer Vacation premiered.
November 10: Best Day Ever premiered.
November 17: Wigstruck premiered.
November 25: That's No Lady premiered.
