In order to comply with regulations, Nick should have at least 10 shows at any time, that are still airing episodes.
Many new TV series start immedietly after a SpongeBob SquarePants episode.
Sanjay & Craig began right after Safe Deposit Krabs.
Breakwinners began right after It Came from Goo Lagoon.
And The Thundermans right after Don't Look Now, and Séance Shméance.
I think since most people love SpongeBob, they watch, and will watch into the next program.
This is my opinion, but if anyone from Nick were to read it they'd probably go:
"Hey that Tanhamman dude has got us figured out."
"Quick, get into the office before he sees us, and we can come up with something else!"
Lol!!
Season 10, getting back to topic, will not be the last season. I think they're postponing due to the movie coming out next year. Besides, if SpongeBob were to be cancelled Nickelodeon won't have much to be remembered by. Unless someone asked, "You remember the TV channel that ended one show, cancelled another and cancelled their crossover spin-off, as well as cancelling their number one show?" (iCarly, Victorious, Sam & Cat and SpongeBob SquarePants, in that order) Nickelodeon doesn't care about Fairly OddParents anymore and now they're getting desperate for new shows and putting more hopeless junk like BreadWinners on the channel to win more viewers. You know they're comparing BreadWinners to SpongeBob? How offensive to SpongeBob fans.
I wouldn't say that SB is the only popular kid show, even in animation. Adventure Time, Phineas and Ferb (though I'm not sure that's even still around), Amazing World Of Gumball, Steven Universe, (perhaps) Sanjay and Creig, (sadly) Teen Titans Go and Breadwinners are rather popular with the kid/teen demographic. Yes, those are mostly Cartoon Network shows, (CN has more cartoons which is what I was grading the shows on).
Phineas and Ferb is still around, although Disney has stopped production of the show but its future remains uncertain
Actually they're making a Star Wars type movie with Phineas and Ferb, now that Disney owns Lucasfilm. But I've never liked Star Wars
But what I mean by SpongeBob being the only popular kids show is because it's the oldest of those you've listed. Therefore it's popular, because it's older. AND it had success since 2000.
But anyone know the Family Guy is older than SpongeBob?
I don't know it depends on if everyone gets back to the show and have positive comments and views so it can go up again on the quality of the show .....if it don't than they will continue to put stupid episodes out. I least the creator came back, season 10 should slightly be better than season 5,6,7,8 and 9. I don't know why some people said season 9 was good I don't know it's their opinion.
you are a year late... and this is a REALLY old thread.
I feel so old now lol
Anyway someone needs to close down the thread
