Brief summary: At Boating School, there is a new student named 'Flatts the Flounder'. He seems normal at first, but he threatens to beat up SpongeBob...

SpongeBob is at boating school, and Mrs. Puff announces that there's a new student. His name is Flatts the Flounder, and he threatens to beat up SpongeBob. SpongeBob tries to turn to Mrs. Puff and Patrick for help, but both are no help, especially Patrick, who reveals that he and Flatts were college buddies. Gary couldn't help SpongeBob, either. Squidward would want him to get beat up, even though he doesn't appear in this episode. Finally, SpongeBob tries to reason with Flatts, who goes to extremes to show him that he's not kidding, and beats him up. SpongeBob doesn't feel it, because he's a sponge, which makes him invincible to any form of 'butt-kicking,' and Flatts gets so tired that he collapses from exhaustion. His classmates cheer for SpongeBob. However, pitying Flatts, SpongeBob starts a speech, which ends with him making a fist. Mrs. Puff enters and sees SpongeBob making a fist, and believes SpongeBob knocked out Flatts. Mrs. Puff impulsively threatens to kick SpongeBob's butt, which as we all know, will not have any effect at all. SpongeBob does get hurt in other episodes, however so this episode is most likely non-canonical.

- If you listen closely in the background while SpongeBob and Flatts are talking, you can hear Mrs. Puff saying "blah blah blah red light blah blah blah green light blah blah speed".
- Flats is seen driving a dump truck in the episode, which makes the fact that he is in boating school seem illogical. But he may know how to drive, but he had to take the course to get his license.
- When it first showed Flatts come in the classroom and the students were clapping, SpongeBob could not be seen. The students are in front of SpongeBob.
- Flatts also appeared in Texas and Sandy's Rocket.
- The drawing Flatts makes of himself beating up SpongeBob can be seen on Squidward's chalkboard in "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" video game for PC.
- When Flatts first walks into the classroom, it shows that the school leads outside. Later, SpongeBob is standing in a hallway, where the door would lead to.
- This episode's plot refers to the film Cape Fear.
- When SpongeBob slams against the window of Mrs. Puff's door, there is a window. But when it shows SpongeBob on the ground while talking to Mrs. Puff, there is no window.
- Flatts is in the hospital and SpongeBob runs home in fright and Flatts shows up. It is about 45 seconds after SpongeBob leaves the hospital, so that means Flatts felt better from his injuries and was taken out of his stitches…in 45 seconds.
- When Flatts is trying to kick SpongeBob's butt, SpongeBob does not take any damage from the punch. In I Had an Accident, SpongeBob breaks his butt by falling. This may mean that SpongeBob only gets hurt when he falls from a high place.
- When SpongeBob smacks into Flatts's dad's car, there is only one seat, later it shows Flatts in the car, too.
- SpongeBob had three chances in getting help from Flatts's harrasment assaulting scheme:
- Sandy Cheeks could have helped him because she's stronger than anything in the sea! (except the Big Alaskan Bullworm & a man in a gorilla suit).
- He should have used the SpongeBob dummy from The Chaperone to fool Flatts.
- Just do the same thing he was mentioning when he was hiding in the garbage can.
- Get out of town!
- This episode proves Patrick doesn't really care much about his "buddy".
- When the Garbage truck is idling behind SpongeBob, it says "Bikini Bottom Garbage". Later (when running behind SpongeBob) it is blank.
- When spongebob asks to be excused for the rest of his life, Mrs. Puff denies it. Doesn't she want him out of her class?
- It is shown that Flats and his family may be from a foreign country because his Flatt's dad was sitting on the right side of the car with the steering wheel.
- Spongebob was called Mario (The Pizza Guy) this could be based on Nintendo's Mario because he loves Italian food.
- It's also shown that either Mrs. Puff was blind to Flatts's true intent or intentionally believed him, as she favors Flatts over SpongeBob.
