• Last night, at the Kid's Choice Awards 2009, SpongeBob SquarePants defeated fellow nominees Phineas and Ferb, The Farily OddParents, and The Simpsons and won for Favorite Cartoon. SpongeBob previous won the award in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.

• A SpongeBob SquarePants special, "SpongeBob vs. The Big One" will air on Nickelodeon on April 17, 2009. Johnny Depp will guest star as Jack Kahuna Laguna.

• SpongeBob SquarePants is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2009. A portion of Nick.com for the anniversay has been launched here. Currently, its features include miniature games and a weekly trivia quiz.
