The heart belongs to SpongeBob and has displayed signs of sentience in the episodes "Stuck in the Wringer" and "Kenny the Cat." In "Krabby Patty Creature Feature," it appears when SpongeBob screams on his tongue.
In "The Grill is Gone," he states that he has a heart of a kid.
