Not to be confused with Snail Park.
Location

Seashell Park is a park that first appears in the episode "Karate Choppers." It is where people go fishing, do karate, swing, have picnics, take walks, etc.

It is a well-known place in Bikini Bottom, with many patrons who come here to relax. Attendants can also buy balloons from Lou.

Description

The design of the park looks very peaceful. Swings, spring toys, slides, and other playground items are here. There are also many trees, a bridge, and a river where one can rowboat for free. There are also picnic grounds and benches.

Role in series

This location is first seen in the episode "Karate Choppers," where Sandy and SpongeBob go to Seashell Park to get their minds off karate after Mr. Krabs promises to fire the latter if he finds him performing the sport again.

It next appears in "Dying for Pie" when SpongeBob takes Squidward to it to greet everyone in town and introduce the latter to them and then do it again, but with Squidward wearing a salmon suit this time. SpongeBob introduces him to Frank.

In "Life of Crime," SpongeBob and Patrick are enthusiastically walking through the park, both asking "What do you want to do today?" to each other. After this, Patrick decides that he wants to buy a balloon, which they do, but steal it from Lou's balloon stand without paying and deems it as "borrowing." Unbeknownst to the duo, it turns out they weren't thieves the whole time and it was National Free Balloon Day.

It makes a cameo in "Have You Seen This Snail?" when Gary is seen drifting through the park's river underneath the bridge to run away and find a more loving and caring owner.

Trivia

  • Many people flock here on holidays, like Free Balloon Day.
  • In the episode "Karate Choppers," one can see a fish fishing in this park. One would not expect fish to go fishing, so the fish may be fishing for some animal other than fish.
