Character

Richard,[1] also known as Incidental 189[2] and the frycook, is an incidental character who first appears in the episode "Graveyard Shift." His incidental type is currently unknown.

Description[]

He is an odd looking light green fish with pimples and two dark green dinosaur-like spikes on his back. He wears round glasses and a purple shirt. He also has a large nose with two nostrils located on the front that resemble angry eyes.

Frycook[]

He is a 3D video game model of Richard. He also has eyebrows and holds his spatula from "Graveyard Shift."

Role in series[]

Richard has made a few appearances in the series so far. He was firstly designed as a one time character for "Graveyard Shift" and he later makes a noticeable, but minor cameo in the season 10 episode, "Snooze You Lose." In season 12, he became one of the incidental characters. He so far makes his biggest role in his debut.

"Graveyard Shift"[]

Hash

A shadow covered Richard appearing as the Hash-slinging slasher.

He calls on the phone at the Krusty Krab, but hangs up because he is nervous. He is later dropped off by a bus and comes into the Krusty Krab, whereupon Squidward and SpongeBob think he is the hash-slinging slasher. When it is revealed that he is not, he explains that he is looking for a job application at the Krusty Krab, having brought his own spatula. He then laughs with the duo at the end at Nosferatu flickering the lights in the restaurant.

"Snooze You Lose"[]

He is one of the various people near the bus stop who shockingly watch SpongeBob and Patrick from inside Squidward.

"Slappy Daze"[]

Slappy Daze 074

He is seen eating at the Chum Bucket along with Incidental 160.

Roles in games[]

He appears at the end of the level "24 Hours of Fun at the Krusty Krab" serving the same purpose as he did in the episode it's based on.

Roles in books[]

Comic Number 9[]

He makes his exact same roles from "Graveyard Shift" in the "Graveyard Shift" portion of the book.

Another Day, Another Sand Dollar[]

He makes his exact same roles from "Graveyard Shift" in the "Graveyard Shift" portion of the book.

Trivia[]

  • Instead of the hash-slinging slasher replacing his left hand with a rusty spatula, he is actually holding a spatula, his sleeves are just too long making it look like the rusty spatula replaces his left hand.
  • He, Incidental 51, and Incidental 220 are the only known regular incidentals who actually have noses instead of just nostrils.
  • He and Incidental 165 are the only incidentals within the 159-189 range who debuted in the first two seasons.
  • He was seen at the Krusty Krab trying to apply for a job only one time in "Graveyard Shift." It's unknown if he got the job or not.
  • He makes his first speaking role in "Graveyard Shift."
