— Picture-framed snails, "Have You Seen This Snail?"
Character

The picture-framed snails are a group of snails that once were owned by Grandma. They are first seen in one of her portraits in the episode "Have You Seen This Snail?"

Description[]

They are a group of snails who are much like Gary. Six of them have a light blue body, while eight have a green one. Their shells are colored pale pink, some darker or lighter than others. They have green eyes with red pupils, and others have blue eyes with dark blue pupils.

In "Have You Seen This Snail?" and Where's Gary?, they are normal-sized but their picture itself is scaled down; in "Fun-Sized Friends" and "Sir Urchin and Snail Fail," the scaled-down size is used for an actually-tiny snail.

Role in series[]

"Have You Seen This Snail?"/Where's Gary?[]

During Gary's attempt to escape from Grandma's house, he opens the door to Grandma's closet and finds their shells. When he does this and then sees how Grandma is overfeeding him, the picture-framed snails yell at him to run.

The fact that a large amount of broken snail shells are shown in her closet and that she was overfeeding Gary strongly indicates that they are deceased as Grandma overfed them to fatten them up then eat them.

"Fun-Sized Friends"[]

SpongeBob lifts some kelp and finds a tiny snail to serve as Tiny SpongeBob's Gary.

"Sir Urchin and Snail Fail"[]

A tiny snail is on a rock across the street from SpongeBob's house.
