Patty Pal is a Krusty Krab officially licensed toy. It appears in and is a major plot point of the episode "Yours, Mine and Mine."

Description

The Patty Pal toy looks similar to a Krabby Patty, except with pickles for eyes, ketchup for a smile and dimples, and small white bendy straws for arms and legs. It is also smaller than the regular Krabby Patty. It costs $13.00 and closely resembles the Pipsqueak Patty.

Role in episode

When Patrick demands a refund in response to the Krusty Kid's Meal's lack of a toy, Mr. Krabs promptly creates this toy as a resolution. SpongeBob names it "Patty Pal."

Patrick spends the rest of the day with the toy, but he promises to let SpongeBob play with it the following day. As the next day approaches, however, SpongeBob and Patrick engage in a war over how long one another gets to have the toy, showing that Patrick broke his promise.

After it remains undecided who gets to keep Patty Pal, Patrick selfishly eats it as a resolution. However, luckily a whole shipment of Patty Pals are delivered to the Krusty Krab, thus giving SpongeBob and Patrick their own toys so they no longer have to worry about sharing.

Trivia

  • This is not the first toy only sold at the Krusty Krab; in "Born Again Krabs," Mr. Krabs gives children squeaky fish toys. The same thing occurs in "Mermaid Man vs. SpongeBob," where Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy toys are sold.
  • If Patty Pals were actually made out of real Krabby Patties, they would soon deteriorate and become spoiled. This did not happen to SpongeBob and Patrick, despite being played with all day and all night. Though, this is what happened to Patty in the episode "To Love a Patty."
