Role in the episode

In order to rid the Krusty Krab of SpongeBob, its' creator, Squidward, attempted to convince Mr. Krabs to replace SpongeBob with the Patty Gadget due to the advantages it offers. Mr. Krabs was nearly convinced to fire SpongeBob, but he came out to declare a "patty war." Squidward, as confident as he thinks, started the machine, but it began to operate out of control after the lever was broken off. Even though it was out of control, SpongeBob managed to produce enough patties and stay ahead of the race long enough to make it explode. The remains of the destroyed machine were later buried beneath the ground, and is constantly mourned over by Squidward.

Trivia

  • This is a parody of the machine that lost to legendary tall tale, "John Henry."
