Nickelodeon Magazine was a magazine made specifically for Nickelodeon. It ran from 1990 until December 2009. The magazine featured SpongeBob comics and news about SpongeBob. In July 2009, subscribers entered a contest to come up with a new SpongeBob SquarePants character. The winner was named Fredrick, a computer who is Karen Plankton's father.
