Trivia

  • This DVD has been re-released in both the UK and Australia.
  • The YTV Canada version of "Something Smells" is shown instead of the Nickelodeon USA version. In the original TV airing, and some re-runs, SpongeBob walks up to a building and says "Hi, building!" which causes the building to flee from SpongeBob's breath. He goes up to Patrick and says "I just don't get it!" and Patrick says "I don't either." In this DVD release, as well as the YTV version, the scene goes like this:
    • SpongeBob(walks up to a building and waves) I just don't get it! (the building flees)
    • Patrick(offscreen) I don't, either. (SpongeBob walks up to Patrick; the rest of the scene goes as normal, resulting in the same lines being repeated).
  • All the episodes that were on this DVD were included on the It's a SpongeBob Christmas! Blu-Ray.
  • Nautical Nonsense and Sponge Buddies were both originally individual VHS tapes that were combined into one DVD.
  • This is the only SpongeBob DVD to use the Paramount logo from 1990 in the opening.
  • "Graveyard Shift" and "Club SpongeBob" are the first two episodes to premiere on home video before being aired on television.
  • This is the only SpongeBob DVD to made by the Metropolis DVD company.
  • This was the first SpongeBob SquarePants DVD to be released.
  • SpongeBob and Sandy are presented in their Season 3 designs, even though the episode the cover art is based on is a Season 1 episode.
