He is a light purple fish that wears pants with two yellow buttons and wears a green newsie hat. In his first two appearances, "Hall Monitor" and "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II," his pants are blue with two yellow buttons. In his third appearance, "Little Yellow Book," his pants are light brown.
Morty is a newsboy in two of his appearances. In "Hall Monitor" and "Little Yellow Book," he appears trying to sell newspapers.
He has also been a mailfish. He was a mailfish in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II."
He is also a student at Mrs. Puff's Boating School, and seems sad because he forgot the combination to his locker to get his crackers, until SpongeBob offers him a role in "The New Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy." SpongeBob does find the combination and successfully opens the locker, but never returns the crackers to Morty.
He has a friend who hangs out at the Krusty Krab 2 who also appears in the Employee of the Month video game. While playing with her at the Krusty Krab, Morty finds a pass card to use the elevator in the Krusty Krab. He labels it his "Super Magic Fairy Card of Power," and takes it to Goofy Goober's Ice Cream Party Boat to order some fried ice cream. Realizing the parlor does not carry fried ice cream, Morty decides to watch Goofy Goober perform instead. When SpongeBob arrives and asks Morty for the pass card, Morty says he would only trade it for some fried ice cream. After receiving fried ice cream from the sponge, Morty hands over the pass card.
I guess I MIGHT trade it for some friiiiiied ice cream!
Oh yes rick!
In end credits of "Hall Monitor," Morty is mistakenly credited as "Newsie." and, in the end credits of "Little Yellow Book," he is mistakenly credited as "Paperboy."
Morty loves fried ice cream, as seen in Lights, Camera, Pants! on PC. However, Goofy Goober's doesn't make it.
Unlike SpongeBob's love for the peanut mascot Goofy Goober, Morty simply finds him "okay."
Morty does not like regular ice cream, with him claiming that it doesn't have the correct crunch to cream ratio.
