the acronym you used to describe "squidward torture" and the word you used to describe patrick are inappropriate. please do not use these terms again.

    • Alright, I don't exactly agree that these words should be considered profanity (the former because it is an acronym that is very commonly used in the SpongeBob community and the latter because I'd never heard of it used as more than just a slight insult) but I understand that you are just doing your job so I'm not too concerned about that.

However, would it be okay for you to undelete the comment so I can edit out those words? I spent quite a while writing that comment and I wouldn't enjoy typing it all over again

    • i will paste the comment here with the words cut out so you can edit as you see fit and post it again.

I don't like to usually judge an episode by its adherence to one of the infamous archetypes of episodes like "Squidward Torture [removed]", "Patrick's a [removed]", or "Greedy Mr. Krabs", as there were plenty of episodes belonging to these categories that I was ambivalent to or even liked (such as Good Neighbors, Boating Buddies, Squid Baby, or The Cent of Money). However, this episode is somewhat different, as it combines two of these archetypes ([removed] and [removed]) by making Patrick torture Squidward (by scaring him in various ways) to get the ink to make his lemonade. It was very bad to see Squidward getting tortured throughout the entire episode and especially at the hands of Patrick. Patrick is extremely out of character here. When he usually causes Squidward distress, it's either an accident/unintentional or just a result of his stupidity/obliviousness. However in this episode, he purposely goes out of his way to cause Squidward pain by using elaborate schemes (which considering that he's Patrick, don't really fit...) to scare Squidward, such as getting a giant spider to come to his house or just building a torture chamber outside the door. As I feared while watching the promo, this is very comparable to One Coarse Meal. I still find that episode to be worse as Squidward did not get driven to suicide like Plankton did, though. Also, the idea of SpongeBob not even noticing or seeming to care that Patrick was abusing Squidward was awfully reminiscent of A Pal for Gary when he scolded Gary rather than Puffy Fluffy. How does SpongeBob not notice or care that one of his best friends is causing psychological trauma to another one of his best friends? Patrick is by far the worst character in this episode, but SpongeBob seemingly wants to change that based on his actions (or should I say inactions). Especially at the end where SpongeBob and Patrick had the chance to make things right by offering Squidward the cookies... the fact that they had used spider eggs completely ruined that scene and was extremely disturbing, as well. The Squidward torture was emphasized even further by grotesque depictions of Squidward's injuries accompanied by horrendously overexaggerated animation that makes this one a pain to watch. Why can't they just normal-looking expressions like they did for most of the show (and even some of the latest episodes like Spot Returns and High Sea Diving)? There was also a terrible amount of grossout in this episode. The addition of the lemon from the trashcan combined with Patrick using a bandaid from his ARMPIT nearly made me sick to my stomach. I really want to have a conversation with the person who thought of that scene and find out what was going through their mind when that happened; even more, I would like to know why none of the other staff members vetoed such a horrendous scene being added. The idea of the ink coming out of Squidward's nose is very gross and somewhat disturbing as well, especially how SpongeBob and Patrick manage to feed it to the entire town without even someone thinking "hey, lemonade is supposed to be yellow, what are these guy's feeding us?!". The idea of Squidward wanting to sell it as well after learning that SpongeBob and Patrick are selling it is also just plain stupid. The repeated use of the megaphone is also comparable to the repeated "MY LEG!"s in My Leg, although it is thankfully not as annoying in this episode. Overall, this is just a really, really terrible episode. It is not my least favorite post-sequel episode (Patrick's Coupon still holds that spot due to how stupid the plot and other things were, Ink Lemonade at least had something resembling a plot, however depraved it was) but it is definitely the worst episode of season 11 and among some of the worst of the entire series.

      Final rating: SCUMBOB!

    • I suppose your two pages need updating. Since it is confirmed that you have rated the episode Mustard O' Mine good, I have now edited the non-detailed ratings page, to save a bit of time. I am not sure about your rating for the Mustard O' Mine in the ABC scale though.

What is your favorite Mario game btw?

Very hard. I’ll say Galaxy or Galaxy 2, I also enjoyed Odyssey and Mario Kart Wii. I’ve also gotten into the Mario & Luigi RPG series.

    • I will eventually; my plan for right now is to post my ratings for all the episodes on a blog as some users have done. When I do that, I will probably post my ratings on the S1 page.
