                                              The Bible Review

A true masterpiece of the great times of old is the beloved, well known, inspirational, traditional, incomparably good collection of novels that we Roman Catholics have learned to call The Holy Bible. The Holy Bible has an extensive library of authors inspired by God through the ages. Read The Bible to gain knowledge of what is the morally correct thing to do and what is not the morally correct thing to do. It holds the highlights of the tear-jerking story of our lord and savior, the messiah, Jesus Christ. The Old Testament tells of many different profits who were chosen by God to be his holy messenger in times of peril. It also tells of the great tribes of Israel and their rich sacred history. Read about Moses, the man who freed the Israelites from Egypt in a very cinematic, interesting way. The books of the Bible are always right when it comes to teaching morals, but that doesn’t mean it had to be correct scientifically. The Bible is truly revolutionary for the time period it was written in. It is clearly not only from the work of human minds. The Bible will enlighten you, correct you, and associate you with a better understanding of the Catholic Faith. Here at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School, we have quite a few Bibles. These Bibles are distributed generously to students who crave the abundant granules of succulent knowledge that it contains. Whoever you are loyal subscriber, read the Bible today because you won’t regret doing it.

DThe Cleveland Browns – Current Event

If you are a Browns fan, you already know what this article will be about, our 2-10 Cleveland Browns. As a fan, it’s painful to see a slaughter on the field every Sunday, or whenever we play. Coming off of a 7-9 end to the 2014 season, the Browns were expected to do better, but that’s not what happened. Again, we are a top 3 prospect for the 2016 draft picks. Right now, the Browns are last in the power rankings after the 37-3 loss against the Bengals at home, but this doesn’t surprise fans at all.

The team as you may know has many Quarterback issues, the most recent being Johnny Manziel’s bye week incident. Over the weekend of their break, a video surfaced of Johnny partying, and drinking out of state. This caused controversy, and allowed for Austin Davis to start. Every week the Browns seem to change quarterback, and it usually doesn’t make a difference. This week, Manziel has been named starter against the 49ers.

In my personal opinion, the Browns need to completely start fresh. Most of the players have potential but without the ability to draft we have no new, talented players coming into the Organization. The past 15 Draft days have been nightmares, using our consistent top 3 pick to draft a bust, or someone that leaves the next year and does great with another team. As for the coaching, something isn’t clicking. The coaches and players clearly aren’t on the same page, otherwise we would win at least more than 2 or 3 games per season.

As for the offensive and defensive units, both are performing rather poor. Both have costly injuries such as Tashaun Gipson, Joe Haden, Andrew Hawkins, etc. But even still, the highest payed defense in the NFL shouldn’t give up more than 20 points per game. There has been many opportunities to clinch wins, but our defense gives up a game winning drive, or field goal. The offense also is doing terrible. The prime example of this garbage is the Ravens game. All the O-Line had to do was block, but instead they let the Ravens defense block the field goal, and return it for a game-winning touchdown. “There’s always next year!” is something us Browns fans hear extremely often, and it’s getting old. Something needs to change.

TriviaThe hard working Mr. Stoffl has taught countless students that he can teach math in a compelling way. He always manages to get his point across no matter who he is teaching. Most of his pupils succeed with a better understanding of math than they ever thought possible. “He’s sassy” - Freshman Bella Ewing

Mr. Stoffl is also a defensive back football coach for Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School. He is really quite a busy man especially during the fall when he performs his rigorous coaching. Mr. Stoffl does even more stuff as he is part of the Campus Ministry here at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School where he helps students.  “Campus Ministry is like Christian leadership but for adults” - Austin Panhorst

Mr. Stoffl sure does succeed at being an adult and lives his life to the fullest. 11/10 students would tell you that here at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School, Mr. Stoffl is one of best teachers they’ve ever known. Sadly, only two freshman classes got Mr. Stoffl this year. (Including both of the people making this newspaper)

Mr. Stoffl is really quite a calm individual despite the hardships of his everyday life. Who knows how early he has to wake up every morning to make the treacherous journey to Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School? I’m sure he could tell you if you really wanted to know, and he also probably knows the distance because he’s a great math teacher.

If you ever see Mr. Stoffl in the hallway, be sure to say hello to him and to wish him a good day because he sure does deserve it.
