Krusty Dogs, (originally known as wieners), became a popular Krusty Krab product. It was a parody of hot dogs. It only appeared in the episode Krusty Dogs.

History

Creation

While making a batch of Krabby Patties, SpongeBob was fooling around with the extra meat. He put them into the shape of a wiener, cooked it and showed it to Mr. Krabs.

Success

When SpongeBob showed Krabs how he cooked it, Frank came in to look at where the employees were. He saw it was new and spread the word about it. In no time, there were many orders; enough to actually prevent the customers from eating Krabby Patties. Mr. Krabs crossed the patties off the menu and took away SpongeBob's spatula and grill. SpongeBob and Squidward plan to get the customers to desert the restaurant in order to get the patties back and they did but Squidward was still humiliated about the mascot costumes.

Removal

SpongeBob got really shocked when Mr. Krabs says Krabby Patties are gone, so he inflated one and the customers thought it was explosive, so they demanded Krabby Patties. The Krusty Dogs are not seen in any other episode and were discontinued.

Popularity

When the food came out, it gained popularity within an hour and became a selling success by tomorrow. This massive popularity would convince Krabs to replace the Krabby Patties with the Krusty Dogs. During SpongeBob's attempts to remove it from the menu, there was little to no success until he scared the customers away from eating the food.
