Kelp juice is a beverage that first appears in the episode "Chum Bucket Supreme."

Description[]

It is a type of juice that is light green. Patrick is seen drinking it in a light blue cup with a white bendy straw, while Squidward drinks it in a fancy glass cups.

Role in series[]

"Chum Bucket Supreme"[]

When Patrick's head is set on fire from mass confusion, Plankton urges him to use the kelp juice that he is drinking to put it out. Patrick ignores this warning and offers him a sip of the drink. Fed up with his stupidity, Plankton snatches the cup out of Patrick's hand and throws its contents over Patrick's head to put out the fire.

"Squid Plus One"[]

Squidward tries to relax at home by pouring himself a glass of sparkling kelp juice.

"Stuck on the Roof"[]

Squidward prepares a dinner for himself at home. He pours two glasses of kelp juice, clinks them together, then drinks them sequentially.

"The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!"[]

It made an appearance when Mrs. Puff was being interviewed by Perch Perkins, and she ordered another from the bartender, Johnny. It was also implied that Mrs. Puff had kelp juice for the remainder of the musical where she was drinking.

"Wallhalla"[]

Wally and SpongeBob drink kelp milk out of SpongeBob's fridge. Despite noticing that Wally has the same brand of kelp milk he buys, SpongeBob does not realize that he is drinking his own milk, and notes that it tastes better coming from Wally's "magic fridge." SpongeBob and Wally later drink kelp milk during their "friendship feast" at a dinner table in Wallhalla.

Trivia[]

  • According to Karen in the episode "Best Frenemies," Kelp Shakes are made from 99% kelp juice.
  • In the musical, it is suggested to be an alcoholic drink.
