Character

Jim is a former fry cook for the Krusty Krab who first appears in the episode "The Original Fry Cook."

Description[]

He is a pale blue fish with a heavy build. He has a shaved beard, faded blue lips, light brown hair, and wears a light tan shirt, a white apron, and a white chef hat.

He looked similar when he was young, but he did not have a shaved beard and had orange hair and a few pimples on his face.

Personality[]

Jim has a rather egocentric persona in that he thinks highly of himself, making himself look vain and then agreeing when SpongeBob admits that he is the best. However, he is still a pretty friendly guy and gives some good advice and words of wisdom to SpongeBob at the end of the episode. He tells him that he cannot work at the Krusty Krab or rely on Mr. Krabs' pockets for the rest of his life if he wants to truly be successful and encourages the young fry cook to someday improve his career by leaving. He also warns Squidward that he should not just wait for his clarinet career to take off and he should keep his options open.

Biography[]

He quit working at the Krusty Krab because Mr. Krabs refused to give him a raise and realized that he wanted a legacy of his own.

After his time at the restaurant, Jim went on to work at the finest restaurants in the world. His success allowed him to retire in luxury. Jim has a solid gold mansion, a solid gold lake, and a solid gold limousine. He also has two security guards who work for him.

Relationships[]

Eugene H. Krabs[]

Jim is Mr. Krabs' best employee and an even better employee than SpongeBob. Jim makes the best Krabby Patties in existence until he retired from working at the Krusty Krab due to Eugene being greedy until he returned to the Krusty Krab years later for a day.

Squidward Tentacles[]

Squidward and Jim were great friends before SpongeBob came to the Krusty Krab and Jim was still a chef there. Squidward's job was fun and not annoying whatsoever, Squidward then lost his hair when Jim left the Krusty Krab and was tortured by SpongeBob ever since.

SpongeBob SquarePants[]

SpongeBob used to dislike Jim due to being jealous until he ate one of Jim's Krabby Patties and SpongeBob found them better than his. SpongeBob then asked Jim if it's okay to make his Krabby Patties the right way but kept failing and failing all over again. SpongeBob then came out of the bathroom crying thinking he's leaving and then hide in the freezer for a couple of minutes. After SpongeBob came out of the freezer, he found out the reason why Jim isn't in the Krusty Krab crew anymore.

Role in episode[]

Jim revisits the Krusty Krab, where SpongeBob, who had heard of him before, meets him for the first time. In the present day, Jim is bald. During his visit, he helps SpongeBob improve his fry cooking. Before leaving; he encourages the young fry cook to someday improve his career and be successful on his own, which he does in a sense, for a short time in the Season 10 episode SpongeBob's Place.

At the Krusty Krab, Jim reunites with Squidward and Mr. Krabs, where they reminisce on the good old days. Although, it all ended with Mr. Krabs and Jim, when the former blatantly started laughing at him when he asked for a raise, thinking the latter was kidding, which he was not.

Role in Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition[]

To draw the outline for DoodlePants, one of the templates is Jim.
