“I’m with Stupid” is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season two.
Brief summary: It is Starfish day, and Patrick's parents will be coming to visit him. He doesn't want them to see him as stupid, so SpongeBob volunteers to pretend to be stupid for them so that Patrick will seem smarter in comparison. However, everyone seems to forget that SpongeBob is only pretending to be stupid.

Plot
Spongebob visits Patrick's house, where patrick is frantically attempting to create furniture from the sand. Spongebob asks him what's wrong, and Patrick shows him a message from his parents saying they will be visiting for Starfish Day. Patrick thinks that his parents will see him as a big dummy and a loser (which he is), and asks SpongeBob for help. Spongebob offers to pretend to be stupid for the night, so that Patrick will seem smart in comparison. When Patrick's parents do come, Spongebob does this quite well. However, Patrick begins to believe that Spongebob really is dumb, and he and his parents proceed to laugh at and viciously insult him until they drive him away. After SpongeBob leaves, Patrick's real parents arrive (courtesy of Squidward). The so-called "parents" (Janet and Marty) then remember that they don't have a son.

Trivia/Goofs
- When SpongeBob runs through Patrick's sand wall toward the end, the outside is shown through the wall. This is impossible due to the room being underground.
- Despite Patrick not being their son, Janet and Marty knew his name without being told what it was.
- When SpongeBob runs into his house as a portrayal of his stupidity, Squidward's house is not there. When Patrick, Janet and Marty are talking by the Pineapple house, his house disappears again.
- Apparently, Patrick has forgotten how to eat in the past as evidenced by SpongeBob saying "Oh my gosh, Patrick! You've forgotten how to eat again! Don't worry, we'll get the funnel!" Patrick informs him that isn't the problem, to which SpongeBob responds "Darn, I like the funnel." An image in "Grandma's Kisses" shows Patrick feeding Spongebob a pumpkin through a funnel.
- Patrick's fake dad Marty is voiced Thomas F. Wilson. "Marty McFly" is the name of a character in the Back to the Future trilogy and Thomas F. Wilson is the actor who portrayed the antagonist Biff Tannen in the trilogy.
- Patrick's line of "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?" was first used in "Pre-Hibernation Week".
- When Patrick is mocking SpongeBob saying that SpongeBob annoys Squidward by prancing around yelling "I'M READY, I'M READY, I'M READY!", the captions say "HARMONY, HARMONY, HARMONY!"
- Janet is voiced by Clea Lewis.
- When Patrick's "parents" are at Patrick's house, there is a complete kitchen and living room with sand furniture, but at the end, where Patrick's real parents are laughing with him, the space under the rock is completely empty.
- In the scene where Patrick says that SpongeBob is "box-chested", a close-up of SpongeBob's lower body is shown, yet his arms and legs appear smaller.
- If one puts Marty and Jannet's names together they form the name of pro-wrestler Marty Jannetty
- Marty and Janet closely resemble Marge and Homer Simpson from the Simpsons.
