Harold SquarePants is SpongeBob's father. He is married to Margaret. Harold has a mustache and wears glasses. He is brown with dark brown holes. He wears a white shirt, brown pants, black and yellow belt, and a tall, white hat with a brown stripe. His head, along with his wife's, are much rounder in appearance than SpongeBob's, making them look more like actual sea sponges.
Harold's first appearance was in "Home Sweet Pineapple", when he comes to take SpongeBob and Gary home. He also appears in "No Free Rides", when he bought his son a brand new boatmobile for passing his driver's test. In "Driven to Tears", he is sad because SpongeBob does not have his license. In "New Digs", he stays with SpongeBob at the Krusty Krab. He stayed in Mr. Krabs' office. In "Culture Shock", he visited the The Krusty Krab to see SpongeBob perform. Harold is voiced by Tom Kenny.
Personality
Harold usually seems to be a happy cheerful fellow who likes to take care of SpongeBob with his wife Margaret. He can also be a bit protective of his wife as seen in "New Digs". He does though; seem to like to spend time by himself as seen on "BlackJack".
Biography
He was born one of at least six children of Grandma and Grandpa SquarePants. His siblings are Blue SquarePants, Sherm SquarePants, and at least three unnamed brothers. His childhood home may have been Grandma SquarePants' House, but this is unconfirmed.
He married Margaret Bubblebottom when he was an adult. They had one child, SpongeBob SquarePants.
According to SpongeBob's thought in the episode BlackJack, Margret says "...it's so nice to spend quality time with you what with you in the office all hours of the day.", implying that he has or had at one point an office job.
According to Hooray for Dads!, SpongeBob gets his Jellyfishing skill from Harold.
He currently lives with Margaret since SpongeBob moved out.
