The Grim Reaper is a personification of death who first appears in the episode "Roller Cowards."
Description[]
He is a skeletal figure who wears a maroon robe with rope tied around the waist and carries a large scythe. In "Squid's on a Bus," his skull is no longer covered by the hood and his rope is gone.

As Squidward tries to drive the bus out of Crush County, SpongeBob sees a passenger at the next stop, which turns out to be the Grim Reaper. Squidward screams and drives past the bus stop, causing the Reaper to throw his scythe at the bus in anger.
