• Oppose - That's not really a good reason for being a chat mod. You shouldn't just ask another user what position you should be and when that user says which one, you shoudn't just try to apply for it. That kinda shows you just want powers for the powers. When it comes down to chat mod rights (or any other rights for the matter), you have to explain how you will help out. Just don't go and ask others what position you should try for and then state you put in the request because of their approval. It's really better to give a detailed explaination.
