Introduction
I have noticed that there have been several large signatures created by a few users. There are also other problems with signatures that are not helpful for navigation.
- Issues with large signatures
- They are often broken between lines
- They don't line up with the person's message/comment
- They dominate the page, when the discussion must have more focus
- They cover up text in some instances
- Larger signatures can be distracting
- Issues with some signatures in general
- Some signatures do not use "talk/wall" or "contrib" or something similar to indicate a link to that particular page.
- Some signatures do not contain a person's username.
So, to address these issues, I have decided to create this proposal to put some requirements for signatures.
Proposal
The proposal is to make the following requirements on signatures:
- 1. All signatures must contain a person's username or something that lets people know who the user is.
- 2. All signatures linking to their message wall and/or contributions must indicate what the page is.
- 3. All signatures must not exceed the height of a line of text, unless they are an image that follows #4, below.
- 4. All signatures must not disturb the layout or text of the page in any way.
- 5. Administrators reserve the right to adjust signatures according to the guidelines.

I'm trying to create my own siggy, that I both like, and that follows the guidelines, and I need help real badly!
