I am proposing that we have a template that allows users to edit things without interference of other users.
Traditionally, if a user did not want someone else to edit a section or page, they would have to specify that no one should edit the section or page and hope that no one would.
With this template, a long as users follow it, it is ensured that the page or section will not be edited.
If you are thinking, "Why would we need such a template? People can just edit the page and publish and have others finish it or they can just leave the edit session open." This may be true, but if someone is, for instance, rewriting a transcript, this template can ensure that the person can leave for things like a movie without interference of other people's edits.
The template would look like this: Template:NoEdit
It works like this: You insert the page you would like to do, for instance, Template, and what user is editing it, for instance, 120d. These inputs create this: Template:NoEdit
