**There will still be subjects that would (if the petition & discussion pass) only fit into maximum two sentences; things like mentioned locations and such. There's no way around and it for things like that I think we should keep them in lists. There are, however, subjects in lists that could easily make a 1,000 byte+ page. Petition

This pettition is addition to what I have wrritten before:

Oppose Oppose to redirecting articles - Before, I was also thinking that most of short articles should be incorporated to the list, but now I think that although it may not be visually good to see articles of sentence or two long and possibly with some images or infobox, do you know how much trouble readers of this wiki have when they need to find some small information on giant list?

Even with browser's search content of page function and with the most perfect list-organization system I or someone else can think of, it is still hard to locate information. Also, if a person was searching Google for some information and Google gives him some list article on ESB as a result, he would most likely guess that desired information is not there, since it is called "list of episodes", not "compilation of episodes".

Well, I may not be that good at writing articles and I don't really like doing that, but I am great in organizing and formatting them and I am getting better as time goes, so believe me when I say that incorporating articles in a list/compilations is not a good organization of them, as I thought before.  AW10  Talk  Contribs  E-Mail  06:11,4/30/2015

I think it will be good to officially define lists, compilations and articles, since titles of pages on this wiki have started to stop matching what they are about. Here are definitions of those words from Google:

  • [list] a number of connected items or names written or printed consecutively, typically one below the other.
  • [compilation] a thing, especially a book, record, or broadcast program, that is put together by assembling previously separate items.
  • [article] a piece of writing included with others in a newspaper, magazine, or other publication.

So, our current lists doesn't fit the definition of them: with all those incorporating-short-articles-into-list going on, they are more like some combination of lists and compilations and we should split them into two separate things, meaning that we should have separate articles for lists and compilations.

To conclude, if this passes, every "compilation" part of lists will be moved to new artices no one's work on incorporating-short-articles-into-list will be wasted and we will have better organization of articles.

More, even an article with nothing but one sentence on it is a piece of writing included with others, so if this passes, incorporating-short-articles-into-list will have to stop.  AW10  Talk  Contribs  E-Mail  06:28,4/30/2015

  • Neutral Neutral - I'm neutral on this. There are pros and cons. I don't think we should have so much information crammed into lists but I really don't like the idea of having two sentence articles. TheGamingSponge 06:40, April 30, 2015 (UTC)
