I am not going to put this discussion on the front page, as it is not too urgent. Or at least until the list of discussions goes down.
As some of you may or may not know, since this wiki was created, Wikia has changed the way a wikia is created.
In 2006, Wikia required that anyone who wanted to create a wiki make a formal request to the Wikia staff to review it. I made two such requests, in August and then again in December. In both instances, Wikia said that a SpongeBob wiki could not be big enough to have it's own wiki. They told me to go to the Nickelodeon Wiki for those purposes. (Note: here we are almost 8 years later, 5,839 articles and 20,953 images).
Sometime in 2007, Wikia changed their wiki creation method. If one wanted to create a wiki, they had to make a request and other Wikians would discuss to see if the wiki could be big enough to be its own wiki. That is when this wiki was created, in April 2007.
Wiki again changed the way wikis were created. Only this time, all you had to do was simply create a wiki. SInce then, the amount of wikis created has increased dramatically, as anyone can instantly create a wiki.
Of course, this left people to create other SpongeBob wikis. I have found several of them. In years prior, I have found SpongeBob wikis created and later abandoned. I made a request to Wikia staff, and they redirected those wikis to here.
I have not done this in a while, but yesterday I went to search for SpongeBob wikis on Wikia and I found several. Some of them or somewhat active, while others have been inactive for several years.
I would like to adopt those wikis, and have them redirect to here. I have already found one wiki in which the bureaucrat is active and sent them a message to see if they want to join us.
However, if we were to adopt some of the older, inactive wikis, I want to make sure we don't compromise their content, so I would like to ensure that, in the event that we adopt those wikis, we make sure that the migration doesn't lose any of the information THEY have, but WE don't.
The purpose of this discussion is to establish a full list of other SpongeBob wikis on Wikia. When the time comes, I think we could make a massive adoption request for the inactive wikis, migrate the content, and then have Wikia staff redirect that wiki to here.

- Some of these are Fanon Wikis so these don't apply but other than that I think they should be kept as some people spent a lot on these Wikis and it's nice to see some new Spongebob Wikis plus some people don't like reading a lot of information. IRmjii 23:49, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
- I did not include any of the Fanon wikis. Some of these have been abandoned and do not have active bureaucrats. I am not sure what you mean by "reading a lot of information." — AMK152 23:02, April 16, 2014 (UTC)
- The Un-Spongebob wiki is more Fanon than the others and some are not true in terms of factual information so technically it's more Fanon. This wiki may be difficult with some people as they may prefer more "Short and to the point" type articles as some I have read have short but main points on the pages while this has more than 5 paragraphs. - Is there a reason the SpongeBob Fan Wiki isn't listed here? I know you guys are so self-centered that you even resorted to making your own fanon wiki (and even called it the "official" one), but you can't just completely disacknowledge us. Herewithoutachange (talk) 19:17, September 27, 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, we are not self-centered. SpongeFan is an unwelcoming place to some of us at ESB. This list was originally meant as a place to seek out abandoned SB wikis to merge to ESB and FSB., so SpongeFan wasn't considered as a possible wiki to merge to FSB for obvious reasons.
