Proposal

Some crew member pages are using old templates(most notably the storyboard artist pages) and some crew member pages are missing a lot of credits(for example:Teale Reon Wang). We also need to add biographies to every crew member, be sure to only use Template:Credit, and remember to save the birth dates and pictures in case some get wiped out. I also want to try to get every crew member a page, even the lower ranks. I understand that this will be a hard project, but it will make the Wiki look more professional. SσпıcTнεEρıc (talk) 17:25, July 20, 2016 (UTC) The crew member pages are in chaos, with articles using older templates and with outdated information. If this discussion gets passed, here is what the crew members pages will be required to have:

  • Template:Credit.
  • Biography and trivia sections.
  • Up to date information on every crew member's credits.

Concerns

Created concern: Purpose of this discussion

I'm not sure what you are proposing here. Are you calling for discussion on crew member guidelines and stuff like that? Or a project in general? Projects don't really need discussions. What will we be voting on? — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 18:15, July 20, 2016 (UTC)

The purpose of this discussion is to make sure every crew member gets a page, and use the correct Credit template. However, I wasn't sure if this would count as a project or not, so I made it a discussion first and I was waiting from a concern telling me otherwise. SσпıcTнεEρıc (talk) 03:19, July 21, 2016 (UTC)

We could use this to discuss guidelines, formatting, and goals for these articles. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 18:38, July 21, 2016 (UTC)

Okay, you're right, I'll edit this to make it sound like not like a project, but as a discussion that people can vote on. SσпıcTнεEρıc (talk) 04:26, July 22, 2016 (UTC)

Created concern: Credits subpages

PreviewModifyComment

This may be a good time to decide to put the credits tables on their own subpages. Thoughts? — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 20:16, July 22, 2016 (UTC)

No, because the pages would mostly be stubs. It would be better if we kept the credits on the same page. SσпıcTнεEρıc (talk) 20:21, July 22, 2016 (UTC)

Alternatively, we could designate that if a person has a certain number of credits, those credits should get their own subpage. Some pages have very long lists. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 21:03, July 22, 2016 (UTC)

Yes, that would be good for pages like Alan Smart and Tom Yasumi. SσпıcTнεEρıc (talk) 21:29, July 22, 2016 (UTC)

Created concern: Guideline article

PreviewModifyComment

I started a guideline article for this here: ESB:People. I have included it so we can discuss both cast and crew members. I say we work on putting together something, and then we put together a proposal for voting for official guidelines in regards to people articles. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 13:45, July 29, 2016 (UTC)

I just realized an unofficial guideline was created before. I merged them into ESB:People. We can work on that and then vote on making it official. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 13:52, July 29, 2016 (UTC)
