Open Proposal The following is an ongoing proposal. Please feel free to voice your opinion, but be sure to follow the rules. How proposals work Concerns stage Someone brings up a topic for a proposal. The community discusses that topic. Voting stage The proposal is brought to a vote, taking into account any changes discussed by the community. The community votes. Introduction

A few suggestion threads ago, Muchacha came up with the idea to return quote sections to the articles. Originally, we had moved all the quote sections to be part of the transcript. However, some users believe that we should include at least notable quotes, such as the funniest, most quotable, and those quotes that have had an impact on society.

The problem arises as to how we shall define what is a "notable quote." The solution, that was discussed at a meeting a few weeks ago, was to have "quote contests," in order to decide which quotes are notable. The following is proposal to see if the community accepts this. Here are the benefits:

• 1. Coming up with a good set of notable quotes to be displayed on the article.
• 2. Remove any argument as to whether or not a quote should be included.
• 3. Establishing a system in which the new "notable quotes" section remains neat and well-formatted.
• 4. The introduction of a fun and interactive "contest" to engage users into discussing some of the show's most notable quotes. The resulting "winning" quotes will show which quotes are most notable.

Proposal

Here is how this will all work:

• A. General

• 1. Quotes will be allowed to return to the episode articles through this contest only.
• 2. The community will decide which quotes are notable enough for inclusion in that section.

• B. Process

• 1. At the start of each contest, each episode will have a "quotes nomination" page.
• 2. Everyone can submit quotes to the contest, and support or oppose whether or not they believe the quote is notable for inclusion.
• 3. Every two (2) weeks, quotes nomination pages for 20 episodes will be set up.
• 4. Everyone will have one (1) month to participate in the discussion.
• 5. At the end of the discussion period, the quotes that have 90% support or more will be deemed "notable quotes."
• 6. The "winning" quotes will be placed in a protected template. (example: {{Quotes/Help Wanted}})

• C. Additional details

• 1. At one time only 40 episodes will be discussed (starting two weeks after the beginning of the contest) to keep the list shorter. This will result in the contest lasting about 10 months.
• 2. At the end of the cycle, the contest will begin again, and continue forever.
• 3. All new episodes must wait for the cycle to arrive before they are in the contest. This allows time for people to figure out what quotes are notable.
• 4. A contest page will be set up for easy access to all current contests.

• Template:Extremely Strong Support I did come up with the idea, you know. Back in 2009, yeah, they had quotes. Then they got removed. I personally think that was a bad decision. And it won't take too long to complete.  ^{23:39,8/17/2014 Muchacha (W•_C)OVERTIME?!!!}

• Oppose - I have a great feeling some war will start over this. Plus, to go through all the episodes, quotes, etc. seems like a waste, when we can do something other, that is productive. Tan Ham Man 00:32,8/18/2014 

• A war? How? Just because someone may think some drama will break out, doesn't mean we should limit ourselves. Progressing the wiki should not be stopped by fear. This is a way to have quotes in their own section, but by a selection process. It's not intended to take over the entire wiki. It's just for those who want to be involved, can do so.
