Topic

I would like everyone's input on how we should call/consider grouping our "promoted positions."

In the policies, all users who are promoted are referred to as "promoted users," but I am sure we can come up with something better to encompass all of them.

At the present time, here is what we have:

Administration
  • Bureaucrats
  • Administrators
Editing roles (perhaps there is a better name for this?)
  • Assistant
  • Rollback
Social roles (can also be referred to as "moderators")
  • Discussion moderator
  • Chat moderator

What shall all of them be called? I feel that "staff" refers to employees, maybe something along the lines of "leadership team" or something.

i think some of the confusion may be coming from all roles being listed on the ESB:Administration page, leading users to refer to promoted users collectively as "the administration." ѕqυιєωαя мεssαgε ωαℓℓcσηтяιвυтισηsε∂ιтcσυηт 16:29, December 11, 2017 (UTC)

I suggest we use "ESB:Roles" instead of "ESB:Administration" for all "promoted users", but other than that, we should refer to all users as just users.  AW10  Talk  Contribs  E-Mail  16:54,12/11/2017

I tried to look for synonyms on the internet (nothing useful there), but after thinking, I believe we should leave it as it is.  SpongeBob13579 (Wall/Contribs/Friends) Sbjump

Or perhaps, rename the ESB:Administration page to ESB:Staff so there wouldn't be any confusion per Squiddle. For AW10's suggestion, simply renaming it to ESB:Roles can mean all the roles available and not the promoted users who have them. In my opinion, I think renaming the page to ESB:Staff is a better suggestion. Golfpecks2 (Contact • Contrib) 01:08, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

Yes, ESB:Staff is better name.  AW10  Talk  Contribs  E-Mail  11:26,12/14/2017

"Staff" sounds like employees. — AMK152 (Wall • Contrib) 13:49, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

it would also be very easy to confuse with fandom staff. ѕqυιєωαя мεssαgε ωαℓℓcσηтяιвυтισηsε∂ιтcσυηт 14:51, December 14, 2017 (UTC)

Some users suggested “Crew” or “Krusty Crew” which might be a better option. Golfpecks2 (Contact • Contrib) 14:58, December 14, 2017 (UTC)
