The magical bag of winds is a rather worn-out bag with patches and stitches visible on the bag itself. When opened, it releases strong winds that carry the user back home. It comes with a page of three instructions for using the bag:
- Step one: Point bag away from home.
- Step two: Plant feet firmly on ground.
- Step three: Remove string from bag, releasing the winds.

Mindy gives SpongeBob and Patrick the bag of winds as a quick way to get home after retrieving her father's crown. SpongeBob and Patrick eventually do retrieve the crown and prepare to fly back home using the bag of winds, but Patrick opens it too soon and it ends up soaring away without them, leaving the two stranded until David Hasselhoff arrives.
